About this website
This website is provided by Masina Funerals (trading as Masina Funeral Service), registration number 2023/109295/07. It gives general information about our funeral services and funeral plans. We take care to keep it accurate, but information here does not replace a direct conversation with us about your family's needs.
Our funeral plans are not insurance
Our funeral plans are membership schemes under which we provide a funeral service. They are not insurance policies, and they are not a promise to pay a cash benefit. There is no underwriter or broker involved. If this ever changes, the insurer's name and licence details would be shown clearly on the relevant pages. Full plan terms, including any waiting period, exclusions and the claim procedure, are provided by MFS directly and will be published here before launch.
Prices and quotes
Prices shown for funeral plans are the monthly and joining amounts of each scheme, in South African rand. [Confirm whether amounts are VAT-inclusive and state the VAT position here, as required by the Consumer Protection Act.] The cost of an at-need funeral depends on the choices you make, the coffin, the setup, the distance, and we provide a clear quote before you commit. We do not use misleading "from" pricing.
