A range for every budget
We keep a range of coffins and caskets, from simple, dignified options to finer finishes, so that every family can find something that feels right and fits what they can spend. A more expensive coffin is not a measure of love, and we will never make anyone feel that it is.
When you come in, or when we visit you, we show you what is available and tell you the price of each one plainly. You choose in your own time. If a coffin is part of your funeral plan, it is already included, and we will simply help you confirm the option your scheme provides.
Coffins and caskets, the difference
People use the words differently, so we make it simple. A coffin is the traditional shape, wider at the shoulders and narrowing towards the feet. A casket is rectangular, often with more finishing. Both do the same thing with dignity; the choice is about the family's taste and budget, nothing more.
What to think about when choosing
- Your family's tradition. Some families follow specific practices for the coffin, the calico (ushidi) or the cross (isiphambano). Tell us and we will follow them.
- The size and the finish. We help you match the coffin to the person, without fuss, and we make sure it is the right fit.
- What is included around it. A coffin spray, the cross, the calico and the programme are often part of the arrangement, we set out clearly what comes with your choice so there are no surprises later.
If cost is a worry
It often is, and there is no shame in it. Tell us your budget at the start and we will only show you options within it. We would rather you choose a simple coffin and keep something aside for the family than stretch to something you cannot afford. If you hold one of our plans, this decision is already handled.
How we help
We bring options to you if coming in is difficult, we explain each price without pressure, and we make sure the coffin is prepared with care for the day. Nothing is upsold, and nothing is hidden.
